Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney won handily in today’s Nevada caucuses, further strengthening his status as the party’s frontrunner.

In other news, the cold wave in Europe continued and intensified. A significant snowfall caused chaos in Rome, and the lower Danube froze over in Bulgaria. Further compounding the woes of Central Europe, Russia’s Gazprom cut back its supplies of natural gas to the EU, by as much as 30% in some countries.
